“后疫情时代跨文化研究的机遇与挑战”系列讲座是上海外国语大学跨文化研究中心成立十五周年（2006—2021）纪念活动的重头戏之一。当下全球正面临着新冠疫情和后疫情时代的巨大挑战，在此背景之下努力推动跨文化领域的研究、教学和实践具有十分重要的现实意义。为此，中心将邀请跨文化研究领域内国内外知名的专家学者主讲系列高端讲座，分享最前沿的研究视角、研究课题和研究方法，共话后疫情时代的跨文化研究。
Framed in 2005 and officially launched in 2006, the SISU Intercultural Institute (SII) invites you to join us in celebrating our 15th year (2020-2021) through this series of online lectures! At conferences we hosted in 2010 we adopted the motto of “Developing a Discipline to Develop People” and a decade later, there is an even greater need to keep “advancing intercultural research, teaching, and praxis” to prepare us to deal with the realities of the current pandemic and hoped-for post-COVID world. Join our special SII invited guest professors as each one addresses important research perspectives, methods, or approaches to develop the interdisciplinary relevance of intercultural communication studies and cross-cultural relations for today.
内容提要
刺绣是中国闻名世界的手工艺之一，除了以江南为代表的四大名绣之外，还有诸多少数民族地方刺绣，这些刺绣通过非物质文化遗产项目的推行而逐渐为人们所熟悉。本次讲座内容围绕作者与合作团队于2018年初期在新疆哈密的田野考察，讨论少数民族刺绣与非物质文化遗产、以及性别塑造的关系。在“非遗”与扶贫的双重推动之下，刺绣是女性参与社会活动，获得一定经济独立的方式；另一方面，刺绣的商业化也进一步巩固了男性的社会地位。讲座将从哈密刺绣的近代历史和刺绣手工艺人的个人经历，讨论变动中的性别塑造。
As one of the Chinese crafts that is world-renowned, embroidery in China enjoys a good reputation not only for the four famous ones such as Su embroidery, but also for embroideries made by China’s ethnic minorities. Nowadays, embroidery in China becomes even more familiar to the public with the implementation of intangible cultural heritage project. Centering on the relationship between embroideries made by China’s ethnic minorities, the intangible cultural heritage and gender shaping process, the lecture aims to give audience a new perspective on how the two genders are shaped based on the studies made by the lecturer and her collaborative team in Hami, Xinjiang Province. Under the influence of intangible cultural heritage project and China’s poverty alleviation efforts, embroidery becomes a tool for the female to participate more actively in social activities and pursue economic independence while the commercialization of embroidery as well strengthens the social status of the male. To discuss changes in gender shaping, the lecture mainly focuses on the history of embroidery in Hami and experiences of local craftswomen.
主讲人简介
丁玫,复旦大学人类学民族学研究所青年副研究员。2015年毕业于新西兰奥塔哥大学人类学与考古学系并获得博士学位（文化人类学）。2009年毕业于香港中文大学人类学系并获得硕士学位（文化人类学），2015年进入复旦大学继续博士后研究。在博士研究期间，丁玫主要从事海外华人研究，通过饮食和餐饮业，考察在澳大利亚和新西兰的华人移民。在博士后研究期间，主要侧重研究在上海的民族餐饮与移民。主要研究兴趣为饮食与文化、全球化与移民。曾发表《对话：非物质文化遗产与现代化——一位维吾尔族土陶技艺传承者的视角》，《重新认识“边疆”——国际语境下的中国跨界民族研究》，From Xinjiang to Australia: Shifted Meanings of Being Russian以及Forthcoming book chapter: Encountering Modernisation, in Jacqueline and Lisa Marr (eds) Cross-cultural Encoutner等学术著作。
Dr. Mei Ding (Ph.D. in Social Anthropology, University of Otago) is currently an assistant professor in Institute of Anthropological and Ethnological Studies, School of Social Development and Public Policy in Fudan University, Shanghai. As a social anthropologist, her research interests include but not limited to Chinese overseas, domestic and transnational migration of China’s ethnic minorities, small and medium ethnic businesses, and anthropology of food.
